Hakao Treesong or Patchayaporn Treesong (b. 1992) and grew up in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I graduated with a degree in art education. 

After graduating I felt pressure from my family that I had to be successful. I became paranoid and was feeling overwhelmed. I started working as a freelance graphic designer, while also focusing on my artwork. I mainly liked working with woodblock prints, flowers, and nature.

At the time I thought why do I have to work like a cog in the system? Why is it that we are so fragile? Just like a flower that can be so easily bruised. I decided I did not want to feel like this anymore, so it made me want to find an outlet to express myself.

I began painting a girl with a daisy flower for a head, which has many eyes. She wears a red dress with a white collar that is as simple as a cartoon. She lies on the empty floor and stares at the viewer to express emotional anxiety. The simplicity of the work encourages the viewer to focus on the girl's state of mind. Her almond-shaped eyes of various sizes express complex emotions through their lines. The contrasting strength of a gentle exterior and the innocence of a daisy flower. Facial expressions in the characters show movement and posture. She may soothe you or create tension as our feelings are diverse. Maybe you will feel like she is representative of me or someone else entirely. Everyone will likely perceive the image in their own way. I also incorporate words or phrases that help overcome uncertainty while attempting to communicate.

Artist Statement;

My inspiration comes from feelings that are hidden within different moments in time. It starts from my own feelings of pressure and anxiety that stimulate strong emotions in different situations. I borrow inspiration from the environment and mix it with my own imagination. I create a character, a daisy girl who has a soul. Sometimes she is sad, sometimes she is indifferent, sometimes she seems bright.
